It is now widely accepted that mind-training is an essential part of any elite athlete’s toolkit. The physical training at an elite level will only take you so far but it is the mental strength that will lead a competitor to their ultimate goals and beyond.
The difference between average and elite athletic performance is in the mind, not the body, by changing our inner game we can change our outer game, with our mind being the ultimate playing field.
Hypnosis has been used in sports for many years to help athletes address issues such as fear of failure, fear of success, increasing confidence and concentration, performance anxiety and self-belief as well as addressing a personal history that may be adversely affecting their performance.

Our thoughts affect every system in our body, for better or worse. In The Beijing 2008 Olympics USA Olympic Skeet Gold Medalists worked with a hypnotist.
In 1996 Steve Collins beat Chris Eubank for the World Boxing Organization’s Super-middleweight title. Much of his sports success being attributed to the focusing of attention created by hypnosis. Collins was programmed to deliver two punches to Eubank’s one. In the fight Eubank threw 300 punches, Collins threw over 600.
In 1959 Swedish boxer Ingmar Johannson used Hypnosis to take the heavyweight boxing title from Floyd Patterson, he floored Patterson seven times in the third round before knocking him out.
Jimmy Connors used hypnosis before all of his U.S. Open victories.
In 1983 the Chicago White Sox hired a hypnotist and made the playoffs.

The nature of life is an ebb and a flow, an up and a down. I can not promote Faye enough! For a long time I had a specific fear and had been stressed and anxious as to how I was to overcome it. I was initially skeptical as I thought it was akin to spending money on a diet that didn't work. Further, there are all kinds of connotations to hypnotherapthy and I didn't want to end up "quacking" like a duck.
